At the Rutherford County Visual Artists Guild, we believe in the power of community and the positive impact that volunteers can have. Join us in our mission to bring awareness of visual arts in our community. Art has been a vital part of society since the beginning of time, and we invite you to be a part of enhancing the impact of visual arts in Rutherford County

Volunteer Opportunities

Docent Positions:  The Docent is the individual you will meet when you walk into the gallery on Main Street. We are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm. Training is available.

Docent Coordinator:  The Docent Coordinator schedules the Docent positions for each month and provides training opportunities for new Docents.

​

Cleaning:  We welcome anyone who wishes to take on the custodial needs of the building. This would include vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping the studio floors, dusting the gallery area, and cleaning the bathroom upstairs.

​

Committee Participant/Chair: Committees available to participate in include Membership, Events, 2D/3D Jury, and Marketing.

​

Board Member: Because this organization is a non-profit organization it is governed by a board of directors. Many of the board positions are filled by committee chairpersons, each year the lead officers are voted on by the membership. Yearly board positions are President, Vice-president, Secretary, and Treasurer. Any member of The Guild may be considered for these board positions.
