Our Mission

The Rutherford County Visual Artists Guild is an organization of artists based in Rutherfordton, NC. Our mission is to engage the community in the arts and encourage a love for the arts. We strive to provide a platform for local artists to showcase their talents and promote the arts.

Our Story

The Rutherford County Visual Artists Guild was founded with the purpose of promoting the arts in our community. We are made up of local artists who share a passion for creating and sharing our love for the arts with others. Our organization has grown over the years and we have established a gallery and gift shop to provide opportunities for local artists to showcase their work. The studio offers classes for all ages to encourage the community to engage with the arts.

The Guild is a volunteer-led organization which thrives on the passion and creativity of individuals who generously contribute their time and artistic talents. Our guild is a vibrant community where artists, both seasoned and aspiring, come together to collaborate, inspire, and enrich our local cultural landscape. Our volunteer leaders play a pivotal role in coordinating exhibitions, workshops, and events that celebrate diverse forms of artistic expression. The collective dedication of our volunteers transforms our guild into a dynamic hub for artistic growth, where each member contributes to the shared goal of promoting the arts and fostering a sense of community through the transformative power of creativity.
