Classes Being Offered
Browse through the various classes being offered at the Visual Art Center school. The school is located in the lower floor of the Visual Art Center access in the back on Tom Street downtown Rutherfordton. Parking is available in the public parking lot right behind the building.
Watercolor Painting Class
April through November
Every Tuesday 10 am to 1 pm
$10.00 per class for Members
$12.00 per class for Non-Members
Beginner to intermediate weekly watercolor class offered Tuesdays from 10am-1pm. Join at anytime. Come enjoy learning various watercolor techniques as Larry will work through different paintings during the month.
You can purchase one or more classes at a time. Just increase quantity by the number of classes you would like to pay for.
Bob Ross Painting Class
The second Saturday of the month.
$20.00 members/$25.00 non-members
This class is designed for beginner to experienced. Pat will take you through the Bob Ross style of painting step-by-step to create a beautiful painting. The goal of the class is to have a finished painting by the end of the class. Each month offers a new painting experience. Pat Hitchcock is a certified Bob Ross instructor.

Yarn Lovers Group
Meet every Friday morning 10:00 am—12:00 PM

This weekly group gathers in the back of the Visual Art Center to work on their needle craft together. All needle/yarn crafts a welcome from knitting to needle point.

No preregistration is necessary. Payment for non-members is taken during class time.
Pottery Open Studio
$15.00 Member/$20 Non-Member (Plus $3 Supply fee)
Weekly on Tuesdays 9:30 am - 1:00 pm
This time is for experienced potters only as there will be no instruction. The studio allows you to use the slab roller and pottery wheel. Your work will be fired in the studio. Glazes are provided for an additional $3.00 supply fee paid to the instructor at each class.
