Pottery classes are available for the beginner or advanced potter. If you are interested in learning about pottery or learning more techniques, browse through these classes offered regularly.

Pottery Wall Pocket

with Zentangle Patterns

Saturday, August 10,

Cost:  $45.00 members/$50.00 non members

There is an additional $7 supply fee paid to the instructor

on the day of the class.

In this creative and relaxing 2-part class, participants will learn to craft a beautiful pottery wall pocket and enhance it with intricate Zentangle patterns. Zentangle is a meditative drawing technique that involves creating detailed, repetitive patterns, perfect for adding unique designs to your pottery.

 

Objectives:

  • Understand the basics of pottery making.

  • Learn the Zentangle method and apply it to your pottery design.

  • Develop fine motor skills and artistic expression through detailed pattern work.

  • Enjoy a fun morning of creativity for yourself or even bring a friend!!

 

Participants will take home a custom-made, beautifully decorated wall pocket, ready to display or gift, along with the skills to continue exploring pottery and Zentangle art.

Our program is tailored for both experienced potters and graduates of our class; Introduction to Ceramic Sorcery course. Under the guidance of skilled instructors, students embark on projects that ignite their creativity, supported every step of the way.


We continually introduce new techniques and project concepts to foster artistic growth and enhance pottery skills. From mastering the pottery wheel to utilizing tools like slab-rollers and extruders, our well-equipped studio provides all necessary resources. 

Students have access to an array of glazes, while clay can be conveniently purchased on-site for $25 per 25lbs bag.

Pottery Open Studio

Weekly on Tuesdays
9:30 am - 1:00 pm & 5:30pm – 9pm

$15.00 Member/$20 Non-Member

(Plus $3 Supply fee paid in class)

Open Studio provides an opportunity for intermediate to advanced potters to utilize our studio space and tools, including slab-rollers and pottery wheels, to manifest their creative visions. Firing and glazing of pottery created during Open Studio sessions are included in the service.


For Ceramic Sorcery students capable of independent work, this extra studio time serves as a valuable opportunity to refine skills acquired in class.

 

Prior registration for Open Studio is required. The supply fee of $3 is paid in class with cash, Venmo, or Cash App.

Beginning Pottery offers an immersive experience where you'll explore both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques, accompanied by comprehensive glaze instruction. 

 Over the course of 8 weeks, you'll craft approximately 10 unique pieces, ranging from pinch-pot planters and hand-built mugs to fruit bowls, platters, and wheel-thrown creations. Our studio provides all the necessary tools and a diverse selection of glazes for your artistic endeavors.

 

Simply bring your creativity – clay is available for purchase at $25 for 25lbs.

 

Join our vibrant community of potters, where ideas flourish and creativity thrives! Please note, Beginning Pottery is a one-time series. For continued pottery exploration, consider enrolling in our Ceramic Sorcery classes, which renew monthly at $85 (Members) or $100 (Non-Members), plus a $15 monthly materials fee to the instructor.

Mud Magic—Pottery Classes for Kids 6 to 15

Welcome to Mud Magic, a monthly series of 4-week pottery classes running from September through May. Here, kids immerse themselves in the art of hand-building and glazing over consecutive weeks. Each month introduces new techniques, inspiring participants to create both functional and whimsical pottery pieces.

 

With a perfect blend of practicality and playfulness, Mud Magic fosters creativity and personal expression, providing a nurturing environment for young artists to explore their imaginations and craft unique works of art. Join us on this enchanting journey and witness your child’s creativity soar with Mud Magic!

Wax Diffuser Workshop
